Learn how to create, manage, and customize tasks in Zavimo using built-in and custom fields.

Tasks are the foundation of work in Zavimo. Each task can include custom fields, assignees, due dates, time tracking, dependencies, and more—making it easy to adapt to any workflow.

Creating tasks

You can create a task by:

  • Clicking the + Add task button in any List, Board or Calendar view
  • Importing tasks via CSV

Tasks can also be saved as templates for reuse or exported using the three-dot menu in task detail view.

Fields in tasks

Each task can include both built-in and custom fields:

Built-in fields:

  • Task name
  • Description
  • Status
  • Assignee
  • Due date
  • Created on
  • Created by
  • Last modified on
  • Completed on

Custom fields:

You can add custom fields such as:

  • Select, multi-select, number, text
  • Dependencies and progress tracking
  • Relations and rollups
  • Voting, phone, email, and more

Note: Each project can have only one dependency field, but it can support blocking and blocked-by relationships.

Time tracking

The Time tracking field includes:

  • Estimated time: Add values like 1h 30m
  • Actual time:
    • Add manual entries
    • Use the built-in timer (visible in task detail and top header)

Templates & item types

Tasks can be:

  • Saved as templates for later reuse
  • Assigned custom item types
    For example: change “task” to “bug” or “feature” with singular and plural names. This custom name appears in buttons and group titles.
